My Students

My classroom is a shared space with the music teacher and is located in a mobile located outside of the main school building. A very limited supply budget makes introducing and engaging my students a challenge. Each week, I encourage all of my K-5th Grade students to become artists as we focus on different elements of art. Students explore how each art material is like an ingredient and by using what we know about the Elements of Art we can combine ingredients to create a masterpiece!

My Project

My students need a NEW clean, bright space to sit together and engage in collaborative projects. This new rug will really brighten up our creative space in the Art/Music mobile for ALL students in our building.

This carpet will be utilized daily by our Art & Music classes.

I love that the circle design of this rug will allow each student their own sitting spot. Color and shape identification, as well as the concept of overlapping can be enforced with the design of the carpet. I am looking forward to surprising our Laketown students with a bright NEW space to share our ideas.
