My Students

I am so excited and feel extremely grateful to be starting my first year as a VPK teacher/director. I love working with preschoolers, and seeing how their eyes light up when I have taught them something new. I have two classes, a morning session and an afternoon session giving me a total of 40 students. Each and every one of them are special and silly in their own unique way. They are so eager every day to learn new things and be a part of fun and exciting activities. Giving them a great first experience to school is one of my biggest goals. When they find out that learning is fun, they are excited to come to school every day. I believe this excitement for learning will create future academic success.

My Project

My class needs a new circle time carpet that will provide personal space. Our current carpet does not offer enough personal space between the children, which leads to many distractions during important learning time. It is essential in preschool development to support the social and emotional needs of each child. To achieve the success of supporting these needs during circle time, it is crucial to provide a learning environment that will allow each child to have their own personal space. With this amazing new carpet, each child will have their own colored square to sit on with their own personal space.
