Students love to participate in morning circle activities in the classroom. They love to show what they know through the daily activities they participate in during circle time.
I work with a group of 3-5 years olds in an Early Childhood Special Education classroom in a public school in Honolulu, HI.
Students are preschool age and come from diverse backgrounds such as military and low-income families. We also have a transient population due to the students with parents in the military. Students have different disabilities such as autism and developmental delay. Although my students have special needs, they come to school eager to learn!
My Project
My students will use the calendar, pointers, teaching cart, magnetic boards and a new carpet for our classroom circle time area. These materials will "jazz up" our current morning circle area with colorful, engaging materials and activities. The pocket charts will enable students to manipulate the calendar and job chart. The teaching cart will hold the new calendar as well as store other morning circle activities in an organized manner. Lastly, the new carpet will provide students with a colorful sitting area as they participate in fun activities.
By supporting our circle time project, you will make a difference in children's lives for years to come.
Your donation will help create an engaging area and provide supplies for circle time.
