This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
“Carpet time” is one of the more important times in our school day. It is there where I get to introduce new concepts, model activities and assignments. Is there also, where students learn to interact positively with teacher and peers. I design my carpet time around language arts and math. My language arts concentration is on phonics and phonemic awareness. A new classroom carpet for our whole group instruction is so much needed to replace our 10-year old carpet. The item I have selected has fun graphics, numbers, and both English and Spanish. It is
perfect for our bilingual classroom.
