Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As educators, we are committed to ensuring that all students have access to high-quality education and support, regardless of their circumstances. Our program provides online tutoring services to students who may not have access to in-person tutoring or who may need additional support beyond what they receive in the classroom.
One of the challenges we have encountered is that many of our students do not have the necessary supplies to fully participate in our online tutoring sessions.
Some students do not have headphones or earbuds, which can make it difficult for them to hear the tutor and focus on the lesson. Others do not have a notebook and pencil, which can prevent them from taking notes and completing assignments.
To address these challenges, we are seeking funding to provide our students with Tutor Kits, which will include headphones or earbuds and a notebook with a pencil. These kits will be distributed to students who participate in our online tutoring program and who do not have access to these supplies.
Our goal is to ensure that all students can fully participate in our online tutoring sessions and receive the support they need to succeed. By providing students with Tutor Kits, we hope to remove some of the barriers that prevent them from fully engaging with the material and benefiting from our program.
We are requesting $1,500 to fund the purchase of Tutor Kits for our students. This funding will cover the cost of headphones or earbuds, notebooks, and pencils for 50 students. We believe that this investment will have a significant impact on the academic success of our students and will help to ensure that all students have access to the support they need to thrive.
