My students are the best! They are so enthusiastic about learning new concepts and always want to know more! Their growth mindset is inspiring, as they never give up! Unfortunately, our school is located in a high poverty district and many students face financial difficulties. This sometimes leaves us without valuable resources that would expose students to endless possibilities.
In order to offer optimal opportunities for learning, it is imperative that students have access to 21st century resources and technology.
My Project
Students enter first grade with a variety of experiences with technology. Most of these experiences relate to gaming. My goal is to introduce my students to some of the endless opportunities available from the use of Chromebooks. Google Chromebooks in the classroom will allow me to do this.
Working in small groups, my students will communicate, collaborate, think critically, and create.
They will research, create presentations, and present their learning to classmates. In addition, I will be able to differentiate skills practice for students in core subjects such as reading and math.
Propelling my students forward through accelerated use of technology is invaluable. Use of Chromebooks in my classroom will help advance my students to a college or career ready future!
