My students need a streaming media device and surface cover to project their presentations.

I teach English Language Development to students from all over the world.
The district has been lacking in technology to modernize the classrooms to take advantage of today's new learning resources. I plan to use tech to help them reach their full potential and grasp content easier. My students are beginning to intermediate English Language Learners. Many students come from poor backgrounds and struggle with English language fluency in speaking, reading, and writing. They try hard to do their best, and seem to benefit greatly from integration of technology. They are more motivated to do their best work when engaged with dynamic resources that allow them to expand their creativity.
With the generosity of many wonderful donors, I was able to purchase a Microsoft Surface Pro Tablet for my classroom. With the keyboard and the Chromecast, my students will be able to create and present projects on the big screen. One skill that my EL students need to practice is public speaking. With these new technological tools at out disposal, we will be able to practice speaking and listening on a regular basis through creative presentations.
Now that we have some awesome technology in my classroom, we are excited to start creating and sharing our hard work.
These resources will give my students the opportunity to gain a deeper level of English fluency and help them to hone their skills in an innovative and engaging way.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
