I teach an amazing group of kiddos in Southeastern Kentucky. These kids are bright, funny, and have lots of potential. They have so much to offer the world, and I feel privileged to be part of helping them learn, grow, and become successful, loving people.
I am so proud of my students.
I love them like they are my own. In spite of the many challenges that most of my students face at home, they always come to school ready to work, driven by the opportunity to create a better future for themselves.
One hundred percent of the students I serve qualify for a free-priced lunch. They have experienced so much in their young lives, and it only motivates them to work harder to succeed. I always try to provide fun, hands-on learning activities that not only develop academic skills, but also teach them about social and emotional readiness.
My Project
My students will be using Chromebooks daily for various activities. They will be using Chromebooks to enhance almost any classroom activity: science projects, social studies research, reading practice, and math games. Chromebooks are a way for students to access engaging learning opportunities, and also a way for students to learn at their own pace. They can help students to reach their learning goals and boost fluency skills in reading and math.
My students love Chromebooks, it is the first thing they ask about each morning!
Chromebook activities always excite them, and they realize that Chromebooks are a privilege for our classroom. Unfortunately, we do not have enough Chromebooks for each student in the classroom to use at one time, and students have to share Chromebooks, which limits their amount of educational impact. My kiddos would love to have Chromebooks assigned to each of them, and they would treat them with such love and care! They are so enthusiastic about using their Chromebook time effectively, and realize the advantages Chromebooks can provide for their learning experiences.
