This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Imagine a group of students who become so excited from having the opportunity to integrate technology into their learning...these are our students who are just beginning to have access to laptops and minimal technologies. They are all struggling to be part of the technological age. They are underprivileged with difficult backgrounds and receive free lunch. They are from diverse backgrounds, many with disabilities but they share a desire to learn. They should be awarded the same advantages as their peers.
My Project
The two Chromebooks will be used for a robotics learning module by my grade K-5 technology students. These Chromebooks will be used to add small centers where students will have the opportunity to code and program robots such as Dash and Dot. Also, students will be engaged in robotic design challenges and a robotics competition. By entrusting low-income students access to new technology such as tablets for robotics you are investing in their future.
These are the first tablets our school will have.
Chromebooks will be used for coding lessons that are only available on tablet devices. We can code drones, robots, and use programs such as Scratch Jr. Help support our students to reach their potential.
