This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is full of hard working and motivated students that consistently perform at high levels. They are so talented in special and unique ways and I am impressed by them everyday. They are in a dual language program and undertake grade level content in English and Spanish reading, writing, speaking, and listening across all subjects in both languages! They are a tireless group of 21st century learners grounded in the community of our school and families. We need the tools that will help meet their diverse learning needs so that they are supported and challenged everyday.

My Project

My students are diverse learners with different strengths and areas of growth. As such, they need tools that meet each of their specific learning needs. These tools are the three Chromebooks. To meet their needs, we have fun and engaging online resources. The students practice reading in Spanish on line at their own level. They take reading quizzes in both languages. They practice their math skills and watch short instructional videos on concepts that are difficult for them. They type, format, and illustrate their writing. It has never been easier for them to turn in work and get feedback!

These Chromebooks will support my students as 21st century learners.

More and more schools are adding 1 to 1 computers. These Chromebooks will give my students practice with the technology skills that will be demanded of them.
