My Students

We are a K-12 public charter school in Utah. We are an excelling Title I school with over 40 percent of our students on free and/or reduced-price lunches. As a school we excel annually, testing as one of the top schools in the state on standardized tests.

Second grade is an exciting time, and we work together to make sure every day is a day of learning and progress.

We do more with less and proud of it. My students are eager to learn, and it shows.

My Project

If my 2nd graders have more Chromebooks in our class we will have greater access to some of our favorite learning tools. Each morning students take AR quizzes on books that they read the previous night at home. This is how we check our understanding and comprehension of the books we are reading.

Exposing students to technology will help them be better prepared for computer based standardized testing.

We will also use our Chromebooks to practice typing and use our literacy website to help aide struggling readers in one more way.

My students will benefit so much from having these extra Chromebooks and will really help them make learning their own.
