Help me give my students Chromebooks so they can connect with the world in new ways and build literacy, math and technological skills.

How often do you use your iPhone? Your iPad? A computer? My amazing, creative, vivacious students only use a computer 1-2 times per week. My readers, artists, poets, graphic designers, and computer engineers deserve more.
My students are 16 fantastic and energetic third graders from Florida.
They come from various cultural backgrounds and languages, creating a truly unique and diverse classroom. Many of them lack access to technology in the home which motivates us to provide these tools for our students even more. They are funny, dedicated, brilliant, kind, inquiring minds who rise to any academic challenge presented to them.
My students are 8 and 9 year olds who need stimulating and enthralling academic exposures in order to help solidify the content they are learning.
Our school high percentage of low income families and high needs for differentiation and authentic learning experiences. Our school is a family of teachers, support staff and learners that truly care about one another and work together to deliver the best for each and every one of our students.
With the addition of the six requested Chromebooks into our classroom, we will be one of the only classrooms in the school that has access to such technology. My students will be able to access websites that reinforce skills and enable higher level learning. A Chromebook helps students who are kinesthetic and visual learners open up the doors of education and individualize their learning experiences. The Chromebook will become a tool that will help create more authentic learning experiences in the classroom as well as build twenty first century skills that our children need in order to be successful in a quickly evolving technical world. My students will be able to work in centers with the Chromebooks, writing, reading, building fluency and comprehension skills, working with math manipulatives and more. They will receive adaptive technology while waiting in the progress monitoring or I.E.P. process. They will be able to create both independent and collaborative projects in order to show true understanding of concepts.
Chromebooks are integral and amazing tools that should be present in every classroom.
Without consistent access to technology, my students are not able to access 21st century skills. I believe that they should not be held back because of lack of funds, but deserve to explore and learn on the same level as students who have this access.
Our classroom will be forever changed by the addition of Chromebooks. All students will be able to access learning through technology on a daily basis - amazing.
