My Students

I have a class full of energetic first graders who are excited to learn! Our curriculum calls for the use technology on a daily basis. For this reason, we would love to have Chromebooks in our classroom as a tool for learning. We will use these Chromebooks to supplement the Zearn math curriculum. The Zearn math curriculum calls for students to complete up to four digital lessons as a supplement to the classroom learning that takes place.

My students come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds, but one thing is for sure, they will all need to know to use technology to be successful in the future.

My Project

The Zearn math curriculum calls for students to complete up to four digital lessons as a supplement to the classroom learning that takes place. Students will use these on an individual basis. The Chromebooks easily connect with the Clever program provided to teachers and students by Bossier Parish Schools. These Chromebooks can also be used for literacy centers in our classroom. Students may engage in a variety of learning websites geared towards phonics, fluency, and comprehension. Having Chromebooks of our own would allow my students to chance to increase their technology skills as well as reading and math skills, which are necessary to be successful in life.
