My students need three Chromebooks for the classroom to help access interventions needed for learning.
This year is a special one for our school because we are brand-new! Being new is wonderful, but comes with its own interesting set of issues such as a lack of supplies and funding. Students were transferred to our school from different areas around the district; therefore, they are from a variety of backgrounds. We have a wide range of incomes and an ethically diverse population.
With San Antonio's nearby military bases, we have a large number of students from military families.
Another large portion of our students are from non-English speaking families, thus we are labeled a bilingual campus. Put all of this together and you get a class of wonderful students who struggle academically with many below grade level. We are all working together to make this a productive and successful year.
I teach in a 4th grade class of struggling learners. My students are in dire need of 3 Chromebooks, which would enable them to use the many district intervention programs. At this time, we simply do not have access to the technology needed in our classroom to use these programs. The district programs are computer-based, but since we only have two computers in our class currently, not all my students are able to use them as often as they need too.
Please help my students gain the academic knowledge they are missing by supporting this project.
Having more access to technology will help my students grow and fulfill their academic needs that will lead to future success in education and life.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
