My Students

My students are energetic eight and nine year-olds. They are eager, curious learners, with tons of questions. They have individual and group interests. They have amazing ideas and dreams. These amazing and energetic children are ready to fight social injustices and stand up for those That cannot stand up for themselves. They have ideas to help us take care of our planet and each other. I love that their minds are in that amazing open, loving, and selfless state! Any help to encourage their continued development is appreciated!

My Project

Currently we have one classroom computer. The students would benefit from having additional access to online resources in the classroom. Not only can they use the Chromebook for research, they will also be able to use it for extra math practice, Accelerated Reading (AR) tests, reading support and typing practice. The students can explore places that we are learning about in Social Studies by opening Google Earth. They can see what happens in other parts of the world. I plan to create safe opportunities to meet and live video chats with other children their age from different parts of the world. The opportunities are really limitless!
