My Students

My students live in a suburban farming community in California. Our school serves a diverse community of Kindergarten through fifth grade students. My students are performing below grade level in Math and Language Arts. Despite the odds stacked against them by their environment, my students come to school ready and willing to learn and better themselves. These kids love to learn while having fun in the classroom and we are doing everything we can to help them reach their specific goals.

My Project

I am asking for 4 Chromebooks to use during our small group time. During this time I work with each small group of students for approximately 20 minutes while the other students work on literacy and math activities.

These Chromebooks will better allow the students to use technology to work on activities unique to their specific goals.

There is an abundance of resources available online that can be tailored to each of my students goals and allow them to gain independence.

The Chromebooks will help attract and keep their attention through the entire work time. They will be able to access Lexia Core, Prodigy, Accelerated Reading and many more educational programs.
