My students are a group of amazing high school students who bring so much to the school community. Although, we focus on students’ strengths and unique skills, my students are challenged because of their range of multiple disabilities, including intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. In addition, they come from low-income homes which makes obtaining necessary supplies difficult. However, my students are eager to learn. The tools they need are essential to support their learning and allow me to effectively teach in my special needs classroom.

My Project
Chromebooks help provide motivating and engaging opportunities for my students with disabilities. We currently have two chromebooks that my students really enjoy using to work on their math and reading skills. However, it doesn't allow much time for them to have access to technology.
Technology enhances the learning experience for my students with a wide range of cognitive disabilities.
Chromebooks allow my students to access additional resources to support their learning and address their individual needs; however, it is very difficult to allow all my students the adequate amount of time. My students need more opportunities with technology to obtain the maximum benefit of these educational resources.
