This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students today need electronic devices to work efficiently and learn in middle school. Many students don't have working devices or forget their devices at home. When this happens, they are unable to work with the class and participate in lessons.
The students in my classroom are special and deserve every opportunity to learn.
Many of them have entered middle school without a Chromebook or laptop and they are essentially being left out. Others have Chromebooks that don't work and many switch to different parent's homes and misplace their devices.
Having extra Chromebooks on hand will alleviate a lot of stress and allow students to participate in the classroom curriculum. They will be able to borrow one from the classroom for the day, return it at the end of the day, and will be able to use it until they get one of their own.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
