Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work at a great elementary school! My students are so excited to learn new things. Therefore I'm eager to teach them! My students are from a very diverse community and from middle to lower socioeconomic income families. All of them are grateful to learn in a nurturing environment!
We'd like our classroom to be a 21st century classroom!
My students are extremely limited with the amount of technology and love alternative seating! I like for them to have access to technology throughout our school day and seat that fits their learning style.
I am looking to expand the variety of learning stations with Chromebooks and our alternative seating! Students hope to be able to work on a Chromebook for a variety of assignments, programs, and research. Alternative seating allows them to focus while wiggling. It's time to teach with tools for the 21st century student!
My Project
I work in a Title I school in a rural hard working community. My students are 7 year olds with with extremely varying experiences, knowledge, and abilities.
I am requesting this technology addition to my classroom because being able to use Chromebooks will allow my students the opportunity to work independently, though differentiated programs, and become a 21st-century learner!
They will be able to access individualized literacy practice through our National Geopraghic reading series, individualized math practice through DreamBox, Google Classroom, and vairety of other online learning programs.
Many of my students do not have access to technology at home and/or do not have family members that read to them regularly. This technology would be an incredible asset to me and my students and would be greatly appreciated and utilized.
