My Students

My students are unique individuals who come into my classroom ready and excited to learn. They are funny, thoughtful, creative, and I learn so much from then every single day. They are curious and full of questions. Like most kids their age, they learn best through hands-on projects and technology.

Every student learns in a unique way, and I do my best to incorporate a variety of learning opportunities in an effort to reach as many students as possible.

The 21st-century learner uses technology in most facets of life, and I believe that is important to incorporate meaningful use of technology in the math classroom. My students thrive with these opportunities. Unfortunately, my classes have a limited number of Chromebooks that we must share with all of the other math classes in the middle school, so I am limited by the amount of time and assignments for which I may use them.

I appreciate every student who walks into my classroom. I love their unique talents, strengths, and weaknesses. I strive every day to do the best I can to help each one of them learn.

My Project

Through the use of Chromebooks, my students will be able to read, learn, and explore mathematics. By allowing each student to have access to this form of technology, he or she will be able to effectively collaborate and share ideas in various ways.

Having Chromebooks will allow students to explore mathematics in a variety of ways.

There are a plethora of online resources available to aid our instruction of mathematics. This allows students to work at their own pace and in their own ways. Our new textbook series has an online platform. Having Chromebooks available for each student will allow us to utilize this effectively.
