it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My name is Ms. M., and I am a second year teacher in Baltimore City. My 5th grade classroom, which is in a small school located in Southwest Baltimore, thrives on student happiness and success. Each and every student who walks through our door brings his or her own set of inspirations and life experiences, and they inspire me every day to be the best I can be. About 86.3% of our students are the free or reduced price meal plan, and 25.2% are English Language Learners.
I wholeheartedly believe that every single one of my students has what it takes to be successful, and I am willing to try whatever it takes to get them where they need and WANT to be.
I love seeing our students, throughout the whole school, walk in with smiles on their faces, and I will try anything I can think of to ensure those smiles remain there. After all, school is all about learning and growing together.
My Project
Technology is an important part of all classrooms in today's world. However, technology is not always the most affordable for schools as well as teachers. I wish that all of my students were able to use a computer every single day as it is such an integral part of our ever changing world.
Having even just two computers in our classroom everyday will aid my students in more ways than we can even imagine.
These computers will be guaranteed to be in our room everyday and will with out a doubt be used everyday. I love watching my students excitement when they are able to use technology in the classroom, and I just know they will be even more exited if we are able to have some that are just for us.
