I am very excited to start my twelfth year teaching! I've taught second, third, and fourth grade but third grade is very special grade to teach because it's the age where students are turning the corner in elementary school and becoming more independent thinkers!
My students are attending the most diverse school that I've ever stepped foot into.
They learn a great deal about cultures and backgrounds simply through everyday discussions. Arts have been a major focus and we are starting to improve our technology program. With a few more working pieces of technology in each classroom, we will be able to delve more deeply into each learning initiative/unit of study.
My Project
This year we will be working on two large integrated units of study. One is Bridges, and the other is Ancient China. We have plans to research and use interactive websites such as Mind Meister, Kerpoof, and My Story Maker. We also plan to blog and post projects to Voice Thread for interactive feedback from other classes and schools. Unfortunately, we will only be able to complete these engaging projects and assignments if we have enough computers for the students to partner up and use the technology. These 12 Chromebooks are the most cost effective way to make these dream assignments happen. If you could help us, we would be forever grateful!
By donating, you will be helping to transform the classroom into an interactive learning experience.
Having computers in the classroom will give the class endless opportunities to create, connect, and share their learning with the world. School will be a much more magical place with meaningful projects.
