Chromebooks for the Airline Art Department

My students need Chromebooks so they can research High Definition images to reference while creating artwork. We want to take art into 2018 by implementing technology!

My Students

Students are creating drawings and paintings in class daily! They are using artistic innovation, and they need the technological innovation to meet their needs.

Many students have unique ideas that can sometimes be difficult to put onto canvas or drawing paper, but a high definition image can help them get where they want to go.

Students at Airline have heart and passion about everything they participate in, art being no exception. They have a right and I have a duty to provide them with any tools necessary in improving their skill set.

My Project

Every day in Airline Art classrooms, students need technology to research high definition images they can use as references in their artwork. Students can use Chromebooks to conduct this research. Students are currently limited to using their cell phones at the teacher's discretion, but many students do not have phones. Using cell phones can also be a distraction and lead to rule breaking, while a Chromebook on the school's network is much safer because the district blocks inappropriate websites. Moreover, Chromebooks have larger screens for better image viewing. The use of Chromebooks would be extremely beneficial to many students. Please vote for us!
