Help me give my students the access to technology they need to develop best practices in research and develop as collaborators in the 21st century world.
I view my classroom as a learning community with all of my students being equal and valuable members. I see my students inspiring and motivating each other to make this community more collaborative, challenging, and invigorating. Furthermore, they push each other forward through genuine support and compassion for their peers. These attributes and actions are all so exciting for me to witness as their teacher, and I am continually impressed by the motivation, curiosity, and dedication they demonstrate on a daily basis.
My Project
I’ve noticed that my students are technology-orientated, and I know we live in a world where the use of technology is continuously growing. These two factors present an excellent opportunity for me to create invigorating lessons utilizing technology to help students grow in their understanding of both content and technology to be better prepared for their futures. Furthermore, within the areas of History and English, students are able to better take ownership of their learning through research.
I know it would make a big difference to have four more Chromebooks in our classroom.
With these available to my students, I see potential for an increased enthusiasm towards History and English. I also see their understanding of technology expanding so that they can recognize its ability to offer enriching opportunities for creativity, research, sharing ideas, and widening their academic knowledge.
