Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students face many challenges every day. Our school is located in a large city that sees a lot of crime every day. The majority of my students come from bilingual homes where English is not their first language. Also, the majority of the students in my school come from low-income homes. Despite these challenges, my students are always ready and excited to learn each and every day.

My students are bright, energetic, and enthusiastic learners.

They enjoy learning new concepts every day and love being able to use hands-on materials to foster their learning.

My Project

With the move to remote learning in our district, it has become very obvious that many of my students do not have the technology needed to further the learning in their homes. Many of the websites and curriculum platforms we use are not mobile or tablet friendly. This puts my students who only have tablets as their device at home at a great disadvantage.

New Chromebooks for our classroom would help my students stay on track during remote learning.

The Chromebooks would also help students with both enrichment activities and individual learning when we return to the traditional classroom.
