My Students

I teach in a functional academics program at the high school level in an urban district. My students come to me with a variety of individualized needs. They are hardworking, curious, and persistent. They love to do hands-on projects and it is how they learn best.

My students require access to technology to learn many of the skills they will need when they graduate from high school (filling out applications, typing skills, etc).

My students also need to learn to use technology safely in their ever-changing world. Repeated exposure to technology is helpful for my students when learning.

My Project

My students require access to technology to keep pace with increasing technology in the world around them. Then need to learn to safely and accurately use technology in the classroom in order to use it in their daily lives once they leave school. Having access to Chromebooks will help them by making them familiar with commonly used computer applications and programs, as well as honing their typing skills.

These Chromebooks will allow the access my students need to practice important computer literacy skills.

It will also help students fully participate in the transition process when the time is right.
