My kids are the best. We live in a suburban area but serve students from all around our town. Our school has about 3000 students and the funding for our classroom supplies is low. We have a very diverse campus, serving many ethnicities. I adore our students and creating a welcoming classroom environment is very important to me. Every kid that has ever come through my program has later told me how loved and accepted they felt by me and all the other students in the program. We are a family and part of that family feel comes from the surroundings in which we reside. I want all my future students to feel the same way about my program.
My Project
My students deserve the best. But in order to give them the best, they need to be able to access information. These Chromebooks will allow my students the opportunity to research other cultures and deepen their understanding of their own culture. We will use them for presentations and idea sharing. My students will also come in on their own time to use them since computers are not always available to them at home. Students need a way to understand the works and become familiar with other cultures and countries. These Chromebooks will start them on their way to understanding our world.
