Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from various backgrounds and are from low income families. My students all have various levels of proficiency in math. The majority of my students are multi-sensory learners. They learn best when they have a learning environment that is suitable to their learning needs.
My students need Chromebooks to help them learn in the classroom.
The majority of the students need more than one way to learn new material. Technology is a way that helps them as they get instantaneous feedback if they did not get the problem correct. It also allows provides me with data that I can use to write appropriate goals for the students and give them extra practice in areas that they lack mastery.
My Project
My students are diverse learners that have diverse learning needs. It is important for them to learn material in a variety of formats so that they can retain the information. Technology provides students with visuals and audio to help them master the skills.
The two Chromebooks will help them continue to build the skills that they have and target the areas they need a lot of extra help.
My students enjoy working with technology which is not always readily available as we share with various teachers. The technology would benefit my students as they can practice the skills we learn as well as provide them with feedback and videos to help them use their skills to solve the problems.
