My students are curious kindergarteners who attend a suburban elementary school in Washington and are excited to learn. They come from various cultural, linguistic, and economic backgrounds. Many of them receive free and reduced price lunch, are English language learners and have not had previous school experience.
My students are excited to use technology to help them learn and be successful in the classroom.
Many of my students do not have access to technology at home. My students want to do their best and I want to help them reach their goals with the resources and support they need.
My Project
Having a Chromebook station for students to use during literacy and math centers will be beneficial for my students daily learning in the classroom. Kindergarteners really enjoy getting to work on the Chromebooks for a variety of activities, games, and learning experiences. Also, our new math program has an individualized online component and we have limited access to technology in our classroom.
Having three Chromebooks in our classroom will give students daily access to technology, allowing them to work and learn at their individual level giving students opportunities that would not be available to them otherwise.
Giving my students multiple ways to learn and explore gives them the best chance to achieve the highest level possible.
