My Students

My classroom is located in Louisville, KY which is an area full of many diversities and backgrounds. In my classroom alone, there are students from India, Australia, and the United States. Each of these students comes from different experiences that have helped mold them into who they are today.

My students are like sponges that thrive to soak up knowledge.

They love doing hands-on activities as well as using technology to help in the learning process. They are full of questions and full of knowledge. Some of the students in my classroom don't have the opportunity to use technology at home to help reinforce learning. Sometimes even getting to the public library to use technology is difficult due to a lack of transportation.

I'd like to create an environment where students feel comfortable with access to technology. I want them to be comfortable using technology for learning, typing, writing a story, and using programs to create authentic work.

My Project

I can utilize the Chromebooks to help enhance learning in many academic areas. Students can use the Chromebooks to help with writing and using voice text. They can also use it to access websites so they can practice skills we are learning in class.

Students can use it to take math assessments online so it limits the need for paper copies.

They can then practice skills after completing the assessment.

These will be used daily in the classroom to make learning fun. It is also a great way to engage students because it opens a world of possibilities for students.
