This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I work at the best school. Our students have contagious school pride. We are a family like no other, we are located in a community that is surrounded by colleges and low-income housing. In our school, you will see students who represent different ethnicities, come from different countries, and academically learn in different ways.
As our students say every morning, "We are destined for greatness." Our school family is growing and excited to learn and excel in the sport of learning.
My Project
The LEGO WeDo Expansions sets and LEGO spare parts will allow more students to compete in the First LEGO League competition. We want to give all of our After School students the opportunity to further their knowledge of basic engineering design and programming, problem-solving, and building.
We want to prepare our students for a future of STEAM related fields.
Our project was inspired by Ms. Zabala's Lego project. We are requesting snap circuits, Lego spare parts, and 5 Chromebooks that will allow us the opportunity to program and code our robots. Please consider helping us fund this project. The FIRST LEGO League competition is helping our students work together while solving real-world problems.
