In our classroom, we focus on persevering through difficult tasks to make new discoveries. We strive to explore all reasons and explanations for things and never stop at "because."
My students are brilliant, inquisitive, and extremely empathetic.
They work endlessly to complete their work successfully. Even more than this, they work tirelessly to ensure that their classmates are also experiencing success. They love working on computers and pushing each other past their expected limits, unknowingly cultivating a culture of excellence!
These materials will help students complete their progress monitoring programs required by the District of Columbia Public Schools. These programs (ST Math and Lexia) provide data and feedback that inform my instruction and help me identify my students' strengths and weaknesses.
Chromebooks allow students to complete programs that provide immediate feedback, informing them of what they need to work on and how I need to instruct them.
More importantly, the Chromebooks also will provide students with alternative programs such as EPIC, RAZ Kids, and other literacy programs that support their educational development. We also plan to use the Chromebooks to research for STEM, Literature, and math projects throughout the year!
