Chromebooks for Courageous and Curious Kids.

My students need easy to use Acer Chromebooks to be inspired and engaged in my classroom. These Chromebooks will serve as a reading, writing, and creating tools that will be implemented every day for engaging learning.

My Students

My sixth-grade students are the some of the most hard-working and inspiring individuals. These students have the desire to grow and learn at rapid rates in ways that will improve themselves, as well as, their community.

Our school has a great number of outstanding students that understand their circumstances at home and in return, they work hard to become their best selves in our classrooms.

As a school, we strive to promote high expectations for individuals, in hopes that they will make the best decisions for themselves after high school, whether that be college or a career in the workforce.

My Project

My sixth-grade students are creative and have the drive to take ordinary projects and create an amazingly unique assignment. Our mission as educators is to engage and inspire students while still preparing them for their future occupation. However, our school has little resources to allow these students to perform their best work.

Engaging young adults is a difficult task when the very tool that grabs the attention of our students on a daily basis is hard to come by within our school.

Acquiring only six Chromebooks for my class will be a game changer for these young adults and how they learn in my classroom. The students then will be able to access different websites such as Socrative.com, Kahoot.com, and use Google Classroom while in my room. These websites are great learning tools that the students would love to use.

Additionally, the Chromebooks will give students that have special needs for writing or reading the opportunity to use applications or extensions while they are learning. Chromebooks provide not only an engaging tool but a necessary device that will aid student's needs for reading and writing.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
