My Students
My students jump at the opportunity to use chromebooks to enhance their learning.
I have a diverse group of learners who are excited to use more technology in our classroom.
They enjoy learning through different modes, and in our tech savvy time of teaching and learning, chromebooks provide my students with so many opportunities that they might otherwise not have. Many of my students do not have access to the luxury of technology in their home environment. They are looking forward to being able to use technology everyday while in our second grade classrooms. They love to learn and all deserve an equal opportunity to become successful. My students have a strong sense of community in our classroom and are excited about their peer's success as much as their own. This project will provide my students with the technology needed to differentiate the skills needed to master content in all areas.
My Project
Our students will be able to use Chromebooks to improve their research skills and provide opportunities to further their learning. Living in a rural Southern state, many of my students have not had the exposure to technology that many of their same age peers may have had. Chromebooks will provide a more project based approach to learning. Students will be excited and engaged to use the Chromebooks to complete projects by researching independently and prepare reports through Google Classroom. We are incorporating Google Classroom in our daily schedule, and having portable Chromebooks will allow even more flexibility when complete these engaging projects. I am excited about the knowledge my students will gain with more project-based learning across all subject areas. I am hoping to have a 1:1 ratio as we work to complete this Donors Choose project goal!
