This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My school is located in the south side of Chicago. It is an under-resourced and overlooked neighborhood; yet, the students are resilient and highly motivated. Students are provided with a superior education in order to secure a bright future. Our mission as a community is to work and dream together to inspire, cultivate, and engage the hearts and minds of our diverse students, families, and staff. Our students are joyful, inquisitive learners who care for and contribute to our community.

My Project

My students need Chromebooks to access Arabic websites in order explore authentic reading and listening materials and to digitally communicate with native students across the globe.

Learning a world language is a part of the 21 century world and access to technology will help my students become 21 century learners.

We have 2 Chromebooks cart for our world language department that need to be shared with 8 foreign language teachers. Having daily online access is impossible, and it is especially difficult when working on a project.

With this project, students will have more chances to use technology in the classroom without the wait!
