Chromebooks for an Engaging Math Classroom

My students need five Samsung Chromebook laptop computers for learning at their math stations.

My Students

I teach 6th-8th grade math and high school Algebra I to multi-age students at an alternative school in Louisiana. Many of our students are low performing and we strive to decrease the gap between where they are and where they need to be. My students learn best when they are fully engaged through math stations.

My students have the desire to excel and making Chromebooks available create more opportunities to push them beyond the traditional classroom setting.

My Project

Currently, my classroom does not have any technology to add to engagement in learning. We have a computer lab on campus that is shared with 100+ students daily. This means that we have limited access to technology on a daily basis.

These requested five Samsung Chromebooks will be used daily to allow students to get connected through technology at their math workstations.

The addition of the Chromebooks to my classroom will allow for low performing students to get the additional remediation needed. My higher performing students will also benefit from the enrichment that is provided through their usage.

The donation of five Chromebooks would enhance the learning experience for my students through technology at their math stations.

I am hoping to fully fund this project and provide my students with a resource, such as this, that they really need.
