My Students
Our school is a diverse community with students who come from different backgrounds. We are also a Title I school in Brooklyn with a large ELL population with over 1,300 students. In my fourth grade ICT classroom, about half of my students are ELL students, which consist of mostly Bengali, Spanish, Cantonese, and Arabic speakers. I also have students with special needs, speech impairment, and learning disabilities.
Each of my students brings something different to our classroom.
We work as a team! We learn from one another and help each other grow socially, emotionally, and academically.
My Project
Having Chromebooks in our classroom will support academic growth and further student learning. With limited access to technology in the classroom, my students will be able to use Chromebooks to access the internet whether it is for researching information for their projects or simply for finding answers to their own questions!
Students will also have the opportunity to showcase their work and creativity.
The Chromebooks will be used for creating presentations as well as for sharing them with their peers! Students will be able to use cutting-edge technology while incorporating academic learning. So let's put technology into the hands of our young learners!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
