My second and third graders are growing every day and learning rapidly in our classroom community. I work at a Title I school, and my classroom is a culturally diverse classroom. They are dreamers, thinkers and questioners alike.
My dream is to be able to challenge them and open up their worlds to different possibilities and opportunities.
Through technology, and other creative ways, I hope to inspire them to continue on a path of academic excellence. My students are beginning to use technology in all areas of their curriculum and their lives. Having Chromebooks in the classroom will take their education to the next level.
In a perfect world, every student in my class would have access to a computer whenever needed. I am almost there though! Only two-thirds of my class can be on a computer at a time. Adding 5 new Chromebooks will get me that much closer to my goal.
My students need laptops to run all of the new technology programs that will enhance their learning experience.
I want to ignite a passion for all areas of learning through technology. Most of my students come from socioeconomically disadvantaged homes. My students need Chromebooks to complete assigned tasks and learn to be researchers. By having daily access to these Chromebooks, my students will become proficient technology users in todays constantly increasing digital world. They will be collaborating together, engaging in meaningful real-world activities, and reading history as it happens.
