This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My high school students bound into the classroom full of curiosity and craving to learn. Our population of 1400 students is diverse with minority groups comprising 96% of our school. Though our school is underfunded and has its challenges, my students have expressed a lot of gratitude for what they are learning in my classes. I am motivated to giving them the best possible education so that their learning is memorable and joyful.
The gratitude of my students makes me want to work harder to give them the best education possible.
In order to prepare them for the age they live in, I do my best to expose them to current practices in our modern world. To do this, I need your help to provide materials for hands-on biology and marine science experiments.
My Project
Our students do not have equal access to technology as other schools in our area. You can help to change that. I need reliable and regular access to computers so that my students can extend their work online through interactive videos, apps, online discussion forums, and google classroom.
Simply put, my students need Acer Chromebooks to work successfully in a 21st-century classroom.
I am constantly trying to borrow computers from other teachers in order to manage this and it's quite difficult. I am convinced this learning model is the path for today's personal learning youth but I need your help to do this.
