This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students come to school each day eager to see what new doors we will open next. I teach in at a school where 100% of the students receive free lunches.

My students are eager to overcome their learning challenges and forge ahead to become the leaders of tomorrow.

They have the potential for any future they can imagine, and they are ready to seize it!

My students are so excited when they walk into the classroom and see something new. They love discovering new things for themselves and showing me what they've learned. If I can use that newfound knowledge to spark a love of learning, then I've been successful!

My Project

My students need access to technology. Our school has one computer lab to serve all students in grades pre-K through 8th, with each class receiving access 1-2 periods per week when it is not being utilized for testing. In the classroom itself, we have only two student computers, so additional Chromebooks are essential!

With a Chromebook in hand, they can be writers, publishers, artists, or scientists.

Technology gives our kids access to the world, and their dreams can be limitless!

Two extra Chromebooks in our class means that we will be one step closer to an electronic classroom with a 2:5 computer to student ratio based on projected enrollment for the 2018-2019 school year.
