My Students
Being the Gifted & Talented/Enrichment teacher at our school, I get to work with some pretty amazing kids. My students vary from kindergarten all the way to 5th grade. Many students come from bilingual families or households where English is not the primary language.
Language barriers and lack of resources can't stop these future leaders from continuing to build their legacy.
Day in and day out, they continue to amaze me with their drive and thirst for knowledge. Not only do I get to work with gifted students, I also have the privilege of providing enrichment for students yearning for a greater challenge.
My Project
My students are in the gifted education program and enrichment classes. They are an extremely inquisitive bunch and come from a variety of backgrounds. These students require enrichment and the ability to delve into the outside world through technology. My project is to obtain two Chromebooks for these students. I will incorporate a daily enrichment program, so that each student is able to research and create at an advanced level. Since this is the beginning of our school's third year, we still have limited access to technology. Our student computers are shared, therefore I am building our classroom technology a couple Chromebooks at a time.
