This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come to school everyday with a smile on their face ready to tackle all the learning that is going to take place. Before entering the classroom, the children are greeted by the two monitors who greet them with a good morning or high five. Each child is acknowledged which makes them feel like coming home to a family.
We live in the 21st century where technology is entwined in almost every part of our life.
My students look forward to going to the computer lab once a week for 30 minutes. They would highly benefit by having Chromebooks in the classroom. They wouldn't be limited to 30 minutes once a week.
My students live by our class motto which is, "The Future of the World is in my Classroom Today".
My Project
The children would love to have time on the Chromebooks if we had some in our classroom. It would be part of the literacy rotation so each group would get a chance to use it. Presently, my students have 30 minutes once a week in the computer lab.
Integrating technology into the classroom is an effective way to connect with students of all learning styles.
Technology will definitely help my students stay engaged.
Programs like Raz-Kids, a reading app, and Starfall would be utilized daily to help meet the needs of all children. ST Math and Cool Math Games are other programs which can help the students with their number sense and everyday math.
