This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My first graders come from very different homes with very different experiences. Whether they are native Swahili, Spanish, Vietnamese, or English speakers and they all bring something distinctly beautiful to our classroom. Despite their cultural differences, we come together in our little classroom community to do great things! 97% of the families at our school qualify for the free and reduced lunch program. You won’t see their socioeconomic status holding them back! Their thirst for knowledge has helped them move mountains! I love seeing my students (current and former) change the world around them!
My Project
Our school recently got access to Moby Max - an amazing academic platform. Through Moby Max, students work on engaging lessons in math, reading, science, and more. The program tracks their progress along the way and will alter the material as needed; challenging the students just enough. We are very excited for this new program, but most of our student don’t have access to a computer at home.
I need a chromebook for my classroom so my students can have access to Moby Max and other academic platforms throughout the day.
We currently have no student computers/chromebooks in my classroom.
More than half of students from low‑income households
