My Project

Technology provides great opportunities for students and teachers within the classroom setting. Students are able to conduct research, practice math facts, explore new books, complete state testing...the possibilities are endless when each student has access to a technology device!

However, like everything great there are also some challenges.

One of the biggest challenges that my students are facing is keeping their Chromebook cords contained. It is always a struggle to get Chromebooks unplugged and plug them back in each day. Cords are always falling behind the shelf, getting tangled with other cords, or finding another Chromebook to charge (and for fourth graders this is a HUGE issue that results in a lot of tattling about peers taking their chargers).

As a way to combat this "Chromebook Catastrophe" I would like to provide my current and future students with a charging cart. This cart would allow a permanent home and provide easier access for each student device.

Mrs. Schaaf will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by July 24.
