My Students
I Teach in Detroit on the near east side. There are more than 60 students enrolled in my classes. They come with a variety of backgrounds and needs. All of our students receive free lunch.
My students are very excited about using technology to enhance learning.
We are required to do some work each week on the computer. but share the lab with the other 400 students in the school.
We do the mandatory work each week that we can. The students beg to to do additional exercises on the computer. I want to use that enthusiasm to keep them motivated.
My Project
It's a struggle to keep all of the students actively engaged in the learning. They need more time on the computers in order to move them forward by the end of the year.
Technology permeates their lives and I am being challenged to infuse the learning using it.
They love using the computer to share what they have learned. Having a set of Chromebooks for the class will allow them more access to the information.
Having a working set of Chromebooks will enable me to help my students soar to new heights, as individuals and classmates. Being able to collaborate with their classmates on projects will make their learning experience more complete.
