My Project

Chromebooks are essential to my students meeting their learning goals because we use them to connect our learning to the real world on a daily basis. Every day, we search for research-based answers to all our questions. Yesterday, it was whether or not Dred Scott ever received the freedom he fought for, and tomorrow, it might be what the Mississippi River Delta looked like after dams were built on the Mississippi River and its tributaries. We also use computers to close learning gaps in Math and reading using learning programs such as IReady.

Currently, our essential Chromebooks are stored on the floor in plastic crates, with charging cords haphazardly strung behind them.

This makeshift solution is not only inconvenient but also harmful to the devices, as they constantly fall into each other, and the cords become tangled and stretched. I have struggled for several years now to solve the difficult problem of how to properly store/charge the devices, and we need your help to provide a safe storage option for these Chromebooks. With your support, we can extend their lifespan and continue to use them for many years to come!
