My Students

My students use technology to support their own inquiry. The biggest challenge in our school is having access to technology as the need arises. We never know when the big ideas are going to hit. Having access to the tools that help us find answers and create in the moments we need them is key.

The students at my school are artists, scientists, dancers, engineers, musicians, mathematicians and so much more.

They have many interests and many talents. They are constantly creating and asking great questions. The students in my third grade classroom are full of wonder and have a lot to tell the world.

My Project

Students will be able to use the Chromebook to do research, access their Google accounts, log in to our Google classroom, learn how to code, and a variety of other activities. The tablets will be used not only for center activities in math and language arts, but also for photography and movie making. More technology in our classroom means that students can create and learn more independently.

Donations to this project will improve our learning by giving us immediate access to these tools.

Typically, we have to schedule the use of the shared laptop cart. Often, we need access to these tools even when we haven't planned on using them. A class discussion can lead to a question or project that requires additional technology than what is available. Having a Chromebook or tablet on hand everyday will enable learning to continue without delay.
