This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My second grade classroom is a room full of fun and kind students. The students range in age from seven to eight years old. My school is located in Nevada in a very high-need community. Our school is a STEAM Academy Elementary School where students love to invent, explore, and be creative. They have a real joy for learning. The students love to come to school every day eager to learn. I love to watch them grow and succeed in the classroom.

My Project

I aspire to supply my amazing second graders with the best technology so that they can have the opportunity to utilize all our school programs Think Central, Google Classroom, and Accelerated Reader program. All of these programs need to be completed on a computer. This is one of the reasons why I want to give my students the chance to use Chromebooks. They will have more opportunities for success on these various programs in the classroom by using a Chromebook. In addition, Chromebooks have a keyboard attach which provides students a chance to work on their typing skills. The daily use of the Chromebook in the classroom helps build a technological foundation for my students.
