My fourth graders are hard working 21st century learners!! We are implementing the use of Chromebooks in our daily instruction. Being tech savvy today is an essential skill for my students.
These noble Knights use Google classroom daily along with numerous online learning websites.
They are becoming more and more at ease with the use of technology, keyboarding skills, and online researching. My hope is to integrate technology into our daily lessons more and more. Proper storage for this expensive equipment is a necessity.
Technology is an integral part of our daily instruction. This is the first year we are fortunate to have 1:1 Chromebooks for our classroom. However, although each student has their own Chromebook, funding for surge protectors or a way of storing them was not provided.
My students are responsible and organized and our classroom "Chromebook Managers" are eager to keep our technology safe and sound.I have paid for the surge protectors out of pocket and hope to get the proper shelving for the Chromebooks.
If they can be stored on shelves, students will have easy access to them and the many cords will not get tangled, as happens quickly.
