Help me give my students some new technology to help facilitate a a paperless learning environment. Not all of our student's have Smart Phones, thus having Chrome Books in the classroom will help create a better learning environment.
My students are mostly 11th and 12th graders. More than half of the student body receives free or reduced-price lunch. They come from a variety of cultural and economic backgrounds, ranging from low- to high-income urban areas. The student body consists of neighborhood and non-neighborhood students. Some travel more than one hour to school while others might take a ten-minute walk. Our district and school are constantly reworking spending and funding guidelines. My students and I would like some assistance in having some Chrome Books for classwork during class time.
This project will allow many students to experience math in fun ways and empower them to participate and learn.
The students at my school have high standards and expectations. Some of my students are highly motivated and some need bright, shiny new things to help keep them motivated. My students enjoy using technology yet still need some basic school supplies. As a school and classroom teacher, we try to keep things as paperless as possible. Chrome Books in the classroom would better help me and my students accomplish our goals.
Three more Chrome Books in my classroom will help students complete online classwork, minimize paper within the classroom, and help students with other online assignments. Currently, our school is not one-to-one, but many of our new textbooks have online access, but not all students have a tablet or computer to access items. Within my classroom, I do allow student's to checkout a Chrome Book overnight, so that they may complete online assignments. Also, I do have online assignments via Google Classroom, which students need to complete. Entering things during class time, when data has been gathered will make it easier for all to better evaluate situations / data.
